I’ve been asking you to pray with me for today’s outcome so that the Lord will be glorified and magnified, so that my husband can’t miss His hand in the situation. It’s no coincidence that the Lord has had me listen to podcasts this week on stewardship for His kingdom. There’s nothing that you or I own; everything belongs to Him. We are only managers of what He chooses to give to us according to our abilities. That statement allows me to take a deep breath and to let out anxious thoughts. He gives only what He knows I can handle with what He has already given me. I trust Him to provide (or not) for His glory, and I yield to His will.

I just read something posted on Facebook the other day that I copied without reading it all. It was ready for me today, when I needed it.

Thank Me for the conditions that are requiring you to be still. Do not spoil these quiet hours by wishing them away, waiting impatiently to be active again. Some of the greatest works in My kingdom have been done from sick beds and prison cells. Instead of resenting the limitations of a weakened body, search for My way in the midst of these very circumstances. Limitations can be liberating when your strongest desire is living close to Me.

Quietness and trust enhance your awareness of My Presence with you. Do not despise these simple ways of serving Me. Although you feel cut off from the activity of the world, your quiet trust makes a powerful statement in spiritual realms. My Strength and Power show themselves most effective in weakness.

“Be silent before the Lord, all humanity, for He is springing into action from His holy dwelling.” (Zech 2:13) I know that He is working all things out for my good and for His glory for His kingdom.

“This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: ‘Only in returning to Me and resting in Me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength.'” (Is 30:15) Although I may not understand how everything works out for the best, I do know that my Lord and Savior wants the best for me. Standing in quiet confidence in my trust in Him and His ways, gives me strength.

“Each time He said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” (2 Cor 12:9) The Lord knows my weaknesses, and His ability can supernaturally change a situation so that all can see it was the Lord at work, and not me. He freely gives me His grace, which is all I need so that I am able to humble myself to His will, so that His magnificent power shows through.

Lord, thank You for the reminders and Your guidance this week. You have guided me to ask for many others to come alongside me and pray for Your hand in my situation. You have guided me to relinquish my thoughts of how this will end up, but have instead given me Your peace. I thank You for however You have already decided to act in this circumstance, because I know that You cause everything to work together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose for me. I thank You for You having me on You mind so that You created a purpose for me, and for Your guidance to walk in the steps to allow You to accomplish that purpose through me. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.
