This is the final week to get out 1099’s for more than 30 entities and W2’s for 7. I’m feeling overwhelmed, not only because of this monumental task, but because it’s not the only thing I have to do this week. I also have four payrolls to take care of and the normal business for the week. Yesterday I thought I’d get more done, but many other things reared their head. By the end of a very long day, I was tired, frustrated and cranky. Yesterday, I worked in my power.

Today, I give this to the Lord, knowing that I can do all things through Him who gives me strength. I need His supernatural strength so that I can do the task for the job He provided for me. My song today is This Is How I Fight My Battles.

The Word says
“For the spirit of heaviness
Put on the garment of praise”
That’s how we fight our battles

The Scripture referenced is Isaiah 61:3: “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.”

Lord, I thank You for what You have already promised to do. I thank You for providing the strength and direction needed for me to take responsibility for the work You have laid before me. Lord, may You be glorified in my work, because You have provided the job, and You are always willing to provide the direction and strength if I seek You first. Lord, this is how I fight my battles, knowing that I’m surrounded and held up by You for You to be glorified. I praise You for putting this song on my heart today. May each time that in runs through my mind and on my tongue remind me that each battle is Yours no matter the size, and You are always available to Your children in need for Your glory. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.
