The other day I was reminded and posted that God is not finished with me yet. Today, I was reminded of the amazing things the Lord can do through us. In Nehemiah we see that God’s people rebuilt to wall in only 52 days because they put their minds and shoulders to the task and looked to God for wisdom and power to achieve. “And it happened, when all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations around us saw these things, that they were very disheartened in their own eyes; for they perceived that this work was done by our God.” (Neh 6:16)

This task was given by the Lord, the people were empowered by the Lord and kept safe, and the work was finished because the Lord did the work through the people. Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’” (Is. 46:9-10)

I wonder what amazing works the Lord will do for His kingdom, if I keep myself humble and willing to be used for His glory. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Eph 2:10)

Father, thank You for the reminder that You can use everyone for Your glory. It’s never about who I am; it is always about who You are working through me. Keep me humble, Lord, and on the Vine so that I am ready for what You have for me to do. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.
