This morning I was drawn to the following Scripture: “After them Benjamin and Hasshub carried out repairs in front of their house. After them Azariah the son of Maaseiah, son of Ananiah, carried out repairs beside his house.” (Neh 3:23)
Ray Steadman says, “The important truth that emerges is that this is God’s design for ministry. God has placed us all strategically where He wants us to be. Your neighborhood, office, or home is where your ministry should be. That is why God put you there.” This reminds me that God has placed me where He wants me to be, and He has work for me to do where I am. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Eph 2:10)
Lord, help me to discover the place I have in Your great work. Grant that I might be faithful in the assignment You have given me in cooperation with others in the body of Christ. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.
