I heard encouragement on my drive to work this morning. When someone criticizes you, it is a natural response to want to respond negatively. The encouragement this morning was instead of responding, we should pray!
- First think about times we have “gotten it wrong” about others, and then take that to the Lord;
- Thank Him for His grace, ask that He give us more grace to give others; and
- Pray for the person who wronged you, asking the Father to fill their heart with more grace.

Thank you for this reminder to show grace. I just wrote a post about a similar topic and I would like your constructive thoughts about it. I meet a lot of very hurting women at the county jail and I want to offer them help and hope. I think very deeply about why these women do the things they do and why I did and sometimes do the same. I feel my thoughts are not clear and people are not understanding them. With that said, I would appreciate your feedback on my latest post, which I shared in the jail last night. The post is titled “Hope for Lasting Peace, Love, and Victory.”
