Yesterday we talked about our image. Today I’ve been meditating on my heart and being known. In this world we won’t be loved and accepted for everything we do or say. It seems many are in wait to be offended by what we say (or don’t say). But we have a heavenly Father who knows us, loves us, and guides us on the right path. “Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He instructs sinners in His ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.” (Ps. 25:8-9)

This morning I was contemplating on our Father’s love. More than an earthly mother or father are able to know their children, our heavenly Father KNOWS us, loves us, and is faithful to us even when we aren’t faithful to Him. “He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” (Ps. 91:4)

What an amazing love to know our thoughts, our ways, and yet still go before us and follow behind us with His hand upon us! “O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, O Lord, You know it all. You have enclosed me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me.” (Ps. 139:1-5)

The Lord:

This morning I stand amazed that even with some of the thoughts that cross my mind (even when they remain unsaid), that the Lord still loves me and wants what is best for me.  How can I do anything but follow where He leads? “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” (Ps. 143:8)
