This morning I had the rare opportunity of spending my entire waking time at home talking with my husband, and then I spent the majority of my driving time talking with him on the phone. So this morning, I didn’t have much time in prayer and didn’t spend much time in God’s Word. But I did get to spend time with one of the greatest gift in my life–my husband.

What a wonderful gift! My poor hubby had to have dental surgery yesterday and wasn’t feeling well, but thankfully the pain pills were helping. We talked about many things: plans, our joy with our kids and grandsons, family, his plans for a new job, coffee, making elderberry syrup, the song “Elderberry Wine” by Elton John….we just talked and loved. So today, I’m only thinking about love. And I am wishing you all love and kindness. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Cor 13:13)

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” (1 Cor 13:4-7)
