Yesterday was a great day of thanks giving spent with family. Whether or not you have family here on earth, if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are a child of God and an inheritance awaits! “and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of His holy people in the kingdom of light. For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” (Col. 1:12-14)

We have been qualified by the blood of Jesus to an eternity in heaven, something we could never attain on our own. “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Cor. 5:21) We have been qualified to share in His inheritance!

We have been rescued from Satan’s dominion of darkness and have been made Children of God. “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” (Col. 2:15)

We have been redeemed and our sins have been forgiven. “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” (Eph 1:7).

No matter what situation you are in at the moment, remember it is only temporary. Your eternity in heaven has been sealed. Let’s be thankful for what we have received in Christ!
