The Bible teaches us that the password and the secret to getting into God’s Holy presence is through worship, praise, adoration and thanks. “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” (Psalm 100:4)
We can always find something to ask God for and we will always be waiting on something new, but in the meantime, we must always thank God. We must thank our Lord and King for our lives, our health, our provision, our daily blessings, even with the small and mundane things. We don’t realize what we have at times, until it is taken away. We need to keep in step with the Spirit of God and really acknowledge what God has already done, even with the finished work of the cross! God is amazing and is so loving and merciful! If God never answered another prayer, we must know salvation is enough. Amen? “Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness.” (1 Chronicles 16:29)
When we are in God’s presence, and once we have accessed the power of the glory of the Lord through praise, there is a peace and joy that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Many times we lean on our own understanding and analytical thoughts, but we must remember our ways are not God’s ways, because He is higher, and we must rely on Him and trust Him regardless of circumstances (Isaiah 55:8-9).
God’s Presence Is Holy: We must come to the King with reverence and a holy fear of Him by thanking Him for what He has done through Christ. (Psalm 100:4)
God’s Presence Gives Us Joy: God doesn’t need our thanks, but rather we are designed to thank Him, which in turn blesses us with peace and joy. (Psalm 16:11)
Faith Pleases God: Even if we are in a very difficult or scary situation, worshipping God in faith regardless pleases God. (Hebrews 11:6)
Worship Is Warfare: The enemy hates praise and worship because it invites God’s Holy presence, and Satan and his demons have to flee at God’s glory because darkness cannot dwell with light. (James 4:7)
Today I praise the Lord for all of Who He is and what He has done. I offer the following portion of the song, To God Be The Glory:
To God be the glory, great things He hath done, So loved He the world that He gave us His Son, Who yielded His life our redemption to win, And opened the life-gate that all may go in. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice, Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, And give Him the glory, great things He hath done.
